Tips

When installing a gate always ensure that your gate posts are well supported and that you install some sort of gate brace. The gate brace will hold the gate posts in the straight position not allowing them to warp from the weight of the heavy duty gate. When installing a gate make sure that you install a gate stop. This can be any board installed on the hinge side of the fence on same side as the latch. The piece of wood installed correctly reduces the stress on the steel latch when the gate slams closed, as a result increasing the life span of your gate hardware.
